APOSTLE FRED MUSSER

Apostle Fred Musser was born March 22, 1933 and was raised on a dairy farm near Marshallville, Ohio. He attended Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky where he met Joan Begley. They married in 1952. They began their ministry in Kentucky while finishing their education.

In 1962, they moved to Atlanta, Georgia. They established a new ministry in Lawrenceville on November 17, 1973. It is now known as Tabernacle International Church. Apostle Fred turned the ministry over to his son, Fritz Musser, in 1993.

The Mussers have four children, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The greatest joy for this family is when they all get together to celebrate birthdays and holidays.

In December 2018, his beloved wife, Joan fell and broke her hip. She went into Delmar Gardens Nursing Center for rehab and remained there until her passing in August 2023, three days before celebrating their 71st anniversary. In April 2019, their youngest son, Jay succumbed to cancer at the age of 55. Fred sold his house to his grandson and moved into the Delmar complex to look after her. They spent every possible hour of every day together for over four years. They were very close and committed to each other totally. They truly were “One”. He often says that, "Joan and Jesus made me what I am today".
